YEARS HELD AT THIS POSITION
I have been a Dive Instructor at Jetty Dive Centre in Coffs Harbour for the past 5 years. Growing up on the coast, I have always had a love for the sea.
One of my big passions is the Grey Nurse Shark. I even have a shark named after me!
What drew you into the sport of Scuba Diving?
I have always loved the ocean. My Dad was an avid diver so we always spent time in the water. I could never imagine living away from the sea.
What is your favourite dive site and why?
Manta Arch, South Solitary Island would have to be my favorite dive site. You are almost guaranteed to see Grey Nurse Sharks here everytime!
What is the most memorable dive you have done, and why?
On a dive holiday in the Philippines I was lucky enough to see a Whale Shark cruise past our group closely followed by 2 manta Rays. Doesn’t get much better than that!
What do you love about being a Dive Instructor?
I love seeing the joy on the faces of first time divers. You cannot help but get wrapped up in the excitement.
Where can you see the sport of Scuba Diving heading in the future?
I hope to see the sport of diving continue to diversify around the world. The more people we can teach to dive, the happier the world will be!
