Technical Diving Manager
YEARS HELD AT THIS POSITION
I have been diving for 10 years and have been lucky enough to travel the world and dive some amazing destinations. I have a big love of the ocean and what it has to offer us. I love the excitement of diving deep on wrecks that few people have explored.
What drew you into the sport of Scuba Diving?
I have always had a love of the ocean. Fishing, surfing and ocean water sports have been a part of my life for over 20 years, so scuba diving just seemed like something I would enjoy.
What is your favourite dive site and why?
Henry’s Head, La Perouse. This site has so much soft coral growth and is home to many amazing creatures like angler fish, seahorses, weedy seadragons, red indian fish, angel sharks, among others.
What is the most memorable dive you have done, and why?
Diving with a dolphin at Oak Park has been my most amazing underwater experience. I was teaching a Sidemount Course and the dolphin just swam around and played with us for more than 30 minutes, flicking up sand at the students and playing like a puppy dog.
What do you love about being a Dive Instructor?
I get to teach people how to have amazing experiences underwater and help them become better at what they love doing.
Where can you see the sport of Scuba Diving heading in the future?
I see scuba diving growing as a recreational sport in the future. As people become more conscious of global warming and the impact it has on our oceans, people will become more involved in ocean conservation and want to spend more time in it.
