YEARS HELD AT THIS POSITION
I am a PADI Course Director with 25 years as a Scuba diver and in excess of 5,000 recreational dives in Australia and around the world.
I am the founder and Managing director of Abyss Scuba Diving in Sydney.
What drew you into the sport of Scuba Diving?
A friend went to Cairns and my with convinced me to go with him.
What is your favourite dive site and why?
Oak Park at Cronulla. I have done over 1000 dives there and always excites me with something new.
What is the most memorable dive you have done, and why?
Bare Island, an early morning dive, with 30m visibility, fish everywhere and I could hear whales singing the entire dive.
What do you love about being a Dive Instructor?
Taking someone who is scared of the thought of diving and in just two days having them hooked on blowing bubbles at fish.
Where can you see the sport of Scuba Diving heading in the future?
In the last 25 year’s, diving is a sport which has become more and more accessible to everyone. In the next 25 years this trend will continue.
