YEARS HELD AT THIS POSITION
After learning to dive in 1985 I quickly completed as many courses as possible and soon started my Scuba Instructors career. I enjoy training new divers, and now showing them new parts of the world to dive. We conduct yearly trips to different and unusual dive destinations throughout the Pacific.. A dive store with a difference is Robinsons Sportscene, which features a full range of sporting gear from firearms to footwear, and a full range of Oceanic Dive Equipment.
What drew you into the sport of Scuba Diving?
Diving the West Coast of Victoria, the main attraction has always been big crays and spearfishing, however in more recent times the camera has taken up more and more time..
What is your favourite dive site and why?
I think Truk Lagoon is my favourite dive destination, with Palau a close 2nd.
What is the most memorable dive you have done, and why?
The San Francisco Wreck in Truck, and the Night Dive in the forward Hold of the President Coolidge (No Torch)!!
What do you love about being a Dive Instructor?
Introducing the underwater world to people and then watching them grow in confidence, it’s great!!
Where can you see the sport of Scuba Diving heading in the future?
With the improvements in computer technology at the moment I don’t think its far away from being able to GPS your exact location underwater on your guage. Think about maybe Bluetooth your music from your computer underwater..! That should be fun too..
